Paris - Toyota menghadirkan kendaraan van ProAce. Mobil tersebut menggunakan platform van milik PSA Peugeot Citroen. Toyota akan meniagakan mobil tersebut perdana di Prancis dan selanjutnya tersebar di pasar mobil Eropa.
Sepintas Toyota ProAce mirip dengan Peugeot Partner, Citroen Jumpy Fiat Scudo yang mengawali debutnya pada 2007 silam. ProAce adalah produk pertama kerjasama Toyota dan PSA. Selain handal dalam angkutan pasar, mobil tersebut juga bisa dimodifikasi jadi mobil ambulan.
Dilansir leftlanenews, Senin (15/10/2012) ProAce tersedia dengan 2 dimensi ketinggian yang berbeda dan 2 wheelbases yang berbeda, Van tersebut memiliki daya tampung sekitar 2.600 pound dan bisa menarik beban seberat 4.400 pound.
Mobil yang dikhususkan untuk mengangkut barang ini dilengkapi dengan 2 mesin berbeda dan sesuai kebutuhan konsumen. Mesin tersebut menggerakkan roda depan.
Pertama mesin 1.600 cc bensin bertenaga 90 Hp dan torsi 132 lb-ft. Mesin 2.000 cc bensin bertenaga 128 Hp dan 236 lb-ft. Dan mesin diesel 2.000 ccr yang mampu menelurkan tenaga 163 Hp dengan torsi 250 lb-ft. Mesin-mesin tersebut disokong dengan transmisi manual 5 kecepatan sedangkan mesin 2.00 cc diperkuat dengan 6 percepatan manual. ProAce akan mulai dijual pada musim semi 2013.
